WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY 2023

World Teachers’ Day is held annually on 5 October to celebrate all teachers around the globe. The national World Teachers Day commemorations will be happening at Rimbi Secondary School in Chipinge, Manicaland Province . This year’s theme is: “The teachers we need for the education we want: The global imperative to reverse the teacher shortage”. The celebrations will focus on the critical importance and meaningful role of teachers in society and the urgency to better attract and retain qualified, motivated, and supported teachers for building and sustaining the profession over time. The Guest of Honour will be the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Hon. T. Moyo. The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Hon M. Mugadza and the Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Angeline Gata will be in attendance.
