We are here in Mashonaland Central Province, at Mashonaland Central Education Offices for the Inception Meeting of the Strengthening the capacity of schools in planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting of the School Improvement Grant (SIG) and GPE Funds Project, that is funded by UNICEF Zimbabwe The project will be implemented in Mount Darwin targeting disadvantaged schools receiving SIG and those benefiting from the GPE variable tranche in Mt Darwin, and other hard to reach districts in Mashonaland Central Province. A total of 30 schools are expected to directly benefit through capacity strengthening on school development planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting of the School Improvement Grant (SIG) in Mt Darwin so as to enhance efficiency of schools and effectiveness of the SIG funds and any other funds that go into schools. These will include SDCs, school management and district personnel (Accountant, Inspectors and DSI).
