The inclusive Education Indaba 2017 was organised by the secretariat and the ECOZI Gender and Disability Thematic committee. The Gender and Disability Thematic Committee consist of the following member organisations: Forum for African Women Educationalists Zimbabwe Chapter, Disabled Women Support Organisation, Female Students Network, Plan International, Deaf Zimbabwe Trust, and Campaign for Girls Education and World Vision. The Inclusive Education Indaba was held at Rainbow Towers on 12 October .2017 The purpose of the indaba was to discuss the importance of having an inclusive education as a country and to find ways on how civil society organisation can reach a consensus on how to advocate for the inclusive education policy. The new curriculum is citing the inclusive education aspect hence there is no binding policy the citizens may become reluctant. The Inclusive Education Indaba was also platform to share robust ideas on how advocacy can be used so that the Inclusive Education policy be designed and used.
